Chris,

Do you know if anyone from the ACL/SAL Historical Society will be there?

The ACL/SAL society generally makes the big shows in the spring and fall at the Galleria and Gwinnett Center, along with the Central of Georgia and the Southern Groups.
We haven't invited any of the Historical Societies yet to the O Scale meet either, we do have members of those societies in the two sponsoring clubs.

The CoG F units are factory Atlas as I recall, the downtown club has its regional road factions; basically a green team (Southern, CoG) and a blue team (L&N, A&WP, WoA, GA, SCL etc)
The derogatory humor this factionalism generates is hilarious to listen to. (I'm equal opportunity, but lean blue team)

It didn't occur to us to invite them to our 2016 meet, but I'm pretty sure the society attended the Atlanta Railroad Prototype Modelers (RPM) meets (facebook page) in 2014 & 2015. I presume they will attend the 2017 Atlanta RPM meet, if there is one.

I figured I should bump this thread since O Scale South 2018 is less than 4 months away.

Come to Atlanta in January and see the GSL Steam Roster and Diesel Locomotives of the GSL in person!

Getting Closer, as in next week; guys if you're in range of the Atlanta Meet we'd love to see you;
we'll have sales tables, clinics, great layout tours.
Come on down!

Pete,

Would love to, but just a bit too far for this OLDE Yankee! Beside that, the weather is better up here right now!

What is that PRR "F" unit doing in there?

Thanks anyway Rich
The RMCA has always had a butt load of Pennsy locomotives rolling around down there; its like death and taxes , you can't escape the P company on any club doing the transition era, at least with any club I've been involved in.
Interestingly those All Nation F7's(care of James aka Maroon) are doing penance in lease service for being roster odd-balls for not having the right kind of pilot for PRR F7's, note they look pretty good between those Atlas factory CG F7's anyway.
True to form the Southern O Scale modular club is also laden with PRR true believers too, I think PRR steam engines there are only rivaled in number by UP and N&W.

Got 2 different NMRA Div functions to attend 5 hours apart so flying South might be a good option, but a hard sell on the home front..

It is looking like this year is going to be even bigger than the 2017 meet, which was covered on pages 4-12 of the May-June 2017 issue of O Scale Trains. I'm told we have already 35+ seller tables sold.
