You can never have too many clamps or too many kinds of clamps.

Except for being upside-down, I think, those photos look like an uncles home shop.
He also thought that one could not have too many clamps. Many different types.

I thought the clamps were the expensive skyhook version.

Lots of good clamps there; more than I've had a need for any of my restoration efforts, but then I do that sort of work rarely now and only 1 item at a time.

I have a several pairs of the old large full 3x4 x48" wood clamps with nice cast iron adjustable fixtures and all that were frequently in use when I was gluing up larger areas of wood.

I have a pair of smaller metal bar clamps that I would love to get a 2nd pair of as I use them very frequently, but being collectables, the prices I see when I can actually find a pair is painful to behold.

A little bit of bridge detailing. I hope after 7 more feet of this I'm still sane.

Looks good Robert and you know the more effort you put into fleshing that out the happier you'll be with the results. Drudgery yeah, but you'll never look back and think you over built it.
All this stuff is characteristically visually overbuilt in real life, that's why we like looking at it.

A few more little bits. I made a bunch of corbels out of old window trim. Had this winter dumped a good blizzard on us. I would have spent a coffee fueled day doing the detail work. No such luck watching it snow as I play with trains this winter.

Looks good Robert, got to give you an "Atta-Boy" for sticking with it. My attention span is shot these days

By the way, you got a drawing of your layout you can show us? Something has bothered me about the plan I posted of mine a while back and I was thinking about starting over with a basic loop around the room and redoing all the inner track, figure I could learn from example!
