Re: Tank Cars
I am close to giving up on posting here. You might think that is a good thing, since you have seen all of my photos at least twice in different threads, and new scratchbuilts are occurring only about twice a year. But I keep getting these popups in the lower right side of the screen of models I have stored in digital form somewhere - today's was a Scale Craft tank car, cited as a "loving memory" or something. Not really, but it is a nice tank car.
You may note that about 80% of all photos in this thread have been cancelled in some fashion. We could fix that if we wanted to - a lot of nice tank cars out there, including my large string of Mobilgas (different thread).
Anyway, here is that popup tank:

Bob,
That’s a really nice tank car and weathered making it unique. Your posts have always been inspiring and helpful to me.
I feel your frustration with the internet pop-ups. I switched to using DuckDuckGo for my main search engine instead of Safari, the default on most Apple devices It blocks most of the commercial crap. DuckDuckGo also tells you periodically how many trackers were blocked. The number blocked is both disturbing and frightening. There is so much data being collected out there I am tempted to start writing friends with snail mail.

There are fewer and fewer scratchbuilders out there and fewer yet posting their builds anywhere.... I do maybe 1-2 a month, more if I get really inspired, but the availability and then cost of requisite detail parts is starting to felt.

That would seem a consequence of your hosting service; you get what you pay for or you get more in the way of intruding advertising

Again, a consequence of the various hosting services......

Nice - I'm in favor of tank cars that feature a K brake!
