No one has ever been killed by an assault rifle. There has always been a nut case operating it.

Your airport is the kind of stuff we really need to get rid of.

We need to take them away from nut cases. Soon.

I appreciate good firearms - still have a Ruger 44 and an octagonal barrel revolver. The Model 94 went to my bambi- killing brother. There is artistry in old weapons. There is no need for military assault weapons except in the military. Opinion, of course.

There have been many cases where the implement of mayhem was a motor vehicle. They are now perfecting self driven vehicles. Watcha gonna do when they come for your Mustang?!!!

In California the 1860 Henry rifle is on the assault rifle list. It holds 16 rounds. Many guys and girls use reproductions of this artistry rifle in cowboy action shooting. But not in California. It was the assault rifle used by the union army during the civil war.

It used a 44 cal rim fire bullet the forerunner to the 44-40 for the 1873 Winchester rifle and the Colt revolver and then in the 1892 Winchester and the Marlin 1894

Let's cut to the chase: The ultimate goal is removal of the second amendment. What should be removed is idiots like Schumer, Pelosi, and Ocrazio-Cortez.

Well, see except for a very few instances (you pay a Fed tax &c.) the only military assault weapons ARE in the military. Just because a weapon is "scary-looking" doesn't qualify it as assault. But, you know that.

The 2nd Amendment is not about hunting or being able to own a gun because it’s pretty. The 2nd Amendment is about citizens being able to protect themselves from a tyrannical government. Look what happened in Venezuela.
I don’t buy my guns because they’re pretty. I buy them because I’m entitled to the same firearms the military has.

Back to train projects! After my 2 Rail conversion on a set of Weaver cars the original incandescent bulbs glowed horribly. I’m experimenting with an inexpensive upgrade.
I’ve purchased a roll of 12 volt LED’s.
Image
They are adhesive backed and can be cut to length with wire leads soldered on.
Image
I also purchased bridge rectifiers so the LED’s stay lit when reversing power.

Results so far:

The Weaver cars are a hair short. Not as short as the MTH/Lionel cars. Acceptable until you line them up against GGD cars. As I recall, the trucks have a shortened wheelbase, too. Were I to resurrect mine, I'd replace the trucks with the lovely MTH trucks.
