He is not happy with me because I suggest that 2-rail is easier and cheaper. He agrees, but says that is not the point. His hobby is stud rail. I can see that - my hobby is just as esoteric. I do 17/64 doorstops. Stupid, but fun.
He is jousting at windmills. His mission is to make the middle rail disappear, but he can't acquiesce to the idea that the best way is to make it disappear is to get rid of it completely. I always thought one of the better "cures" for the middle rail was "Super O" track. I am of the opinion that it looked as good as any version of 3 rail track. Not sure why it went away, other than maybe it didn't sell very well.
