Hello all
Happy FEF and TET .. with an Alco F units by Ken Kraft and passenger cars by AMT O scale gauge 1949-50.
Ken Kraft Alcos cast bronze by Adams & Son foundry 1949-50 .
AMT passenger cars first ad I 've found January 1950...promoted to the tinplate market but a few have surfaced in full scale length. Jack Ferris began producing O scale models in 1935 with his Scale Model Railways company so may have offered the postwar aluminum cars as special order ...

Windowless Observation car.........very private goings on there,

Most of the trouble in the world is caused by people wanting to be important.

Wow, they really run smoothly and quietly with that drive Carey....and so much history. And, it brought back some great memories I'd forgotten of sending dimes or self stamped envelopes to get the catalogs you wanted. Might not be able to afford the trains back in the day, but with a little effort, you could get all the day-dreaming train material you wanted.

Delightful! Now two of my FA/FB sets will get NYC colors. I really have to do some work on the B&O set - stripes are way too thick. Next month!

I am inspired as well. But will have to wait a year at least. I think that I have at least three unbuilt kits of the FA.
