Shxt

Postby ScaleCraft » Wed Jun 04, 2025 5:28 pm

Last chemo failed just before it killed me. Seriously.
3-1/2 months of pain and misery, and it did nothing to tumors at all. Held the line, scan virtually same as 3 months ago.

Signed up for Pluvicto, liquid radiation, later this month.
Have to distance myself from people until half-life is safe.
Including wife, kids and grandkids.

Every six weeks for six sessions.
Merry Christmas.

I am sure all of us are rooting for your success! What is it with these prostates, anyway? Almost all of us older dudes have something going on with that thing.

Stay with us - we value your contributions.

No idea why. Every year, PSA test, climbed a bit over the years, but within age guidelines.
Three months later, wham, already in pelvis, hips and spine.
No pain issues from prostate, ever, still.
Back.....been bad since I was in the Navy, so I can't tell.
Good thing I know where I'm going.

Dave,

Hang in there. I've been fighting the after effects of radiation from a couple years back. Get a PSA on 7/1. If it shows the big C, will opt for robot removal of prostate. Old age ain't for sissies!

Next Tuesday, 24JUN25, I start the radiation.
I have a "hospital hat" with last name and birthday. Ordered a couple of these off Spamazon, one for the hat, one for my shirt:

My wife and I took both granddaughters to a local restaurant for breakfast.
We have kept them informed of the health issues.
I am sitting beside the 13-year-old oldest granddaughter (you're my favourite oldest granddaughter!) and realized she is squeezed off the end of the booth bench, hard against the window.
I asked her what was up with that.
She looked at me and said:
"Are you radioactive now?"

Fun. At least we could laugh.

Breakfast out with the grandchildren is terrific; not much, in my experience, raises the spirits more than that combination.

Hopefully next week’s regimen leads to the start of the road back.

no idea if this will work. Wife got me an OFFICIAL radiation cap, to go along with the radiation BUTTON. Took the pic on the porch swing.

We're hoping and praying the pain goes away. I don't like oxycodone.
Pain, they tell me, is normal at this stage as the Pluvicto does its thing.

When my hair fell out, and most of my beard.........
