May be Half O, but it is a really (opinion) good looking layout, and I'm curious how much space would be needed to do it in O (no measurements are given for this HO version). The track plan looks more realistic than most. (again opinion).

More Heresy
Re: More Heresy
I agree with you Rich...it is an outstanding model RR. So many modeler don't bother with the scenic aspect of model railroading...but this fellow clearly has nailed it, and built a very believable operating railroad. It is exceptional...thanks for sharing.

Just a rough guess, mind you.....no idea exact measurements, but about exactly twice the space needed for Half Zero?
Dave....gone by invitation

Which does you absolutely NO good if you have NO measurements.

Another really interesting HO layout is Brian Moore's Guadalupe Subdivision: Youtube - Guadalupe, Calif., October 1954. There was an article about it in the September 2019 RMC, but I can't link to that.
The layout is in a 25' x 15' UK basement and is designed to accommodate 25 ft long freight trains (ABA F-units, forty-two 40' boxcars and a caboose.) The yard scene in the video is built on a relatively narrow shelf along the 25' long wall. The rest of the basement is filled with a different peninsula and the aisles around it. I think an O-scaler could build a similar looking scene in a 50' x 10' space while using 96" radius curves.
How long is your basement DeBruin?
