Is this what National health care will look like in this country.
NHS waits: More people feeling forced into private healthcare.

Millions of people across the UK are currently on NHS waiting lists - in Northern Ireland there are over 465,000 people, while in England, 5.6m are queuing for treatment.
Data shared with BBC Panorama shows that on average, waiting lists have grown by 50% in the most deprived parts of England since the start of the pandemic, compared with nearly 35% in the most affluent areas.
The research, conducted by the King's Fund, also shows that people on waiting lists in poorer areas are nearly twice as likely as those in wealthier areas to wait more than one year for treatment.

And what were the figures like BEFORE the pandemic?
Once I built a railroad, I made it run,
Made it race against time.
Once I built a railroad, now it's done --
Brother, can you spare a dime?

2019 41 percent get appointments the same day. 7 percent the next day. 34 percent within 2 weeks. The rest a month or more. This is data is from general practitioners. No mention of what the appointments were needed for. I’ll bet you the US. Is running near the same percentages with general practitioners
I spend entirely too many hours a day tying my shoes

"No mention of what the appointments were needed for."
Pretty critical variable -- If I'm actually looking to see my doc due to illness, that's nearly always same day. Wellness check-up.....days or weeks. If you're not actually sick you end up waiting. Silly thing is that every one preaches preventative action through checkups, yet that priority in getting it done is lower.
Common sense is the collection of prejudices acquired by age eighteen.
