Among the boys, I see faces that say the following (and I have no idea why) "types" :
+classic victim.
+bully.
+mischief maker.
+content to have a mediocre life.
+looking for trouble.
+puzzled by life, permanently.
+leadership potential.
+likely career ahead in religion or medicine.

Throughout the girls, I don't see much beyond a pretty thorough grooming and regimentation toward one image and future focus.

Does anybody share my viewpoint?

...snip... But the real issue is that the photo file is pretty small so blowing this up electronically to O scale will probably pixelate terrible. Maybe making a slide, projecting that onto a white screen, and photographing that would work to make a large file that could be further manipulated?

I saved it to my foto phile then expanded it to about 150% of its original size. On my screen, the man standing in the door in the original is one inch tall, I blew it up so that he is one and a half inches tall (six feet). The result is not pixelated enough to matter if one wants to use it as a guide for building a model.

They seem to be divided, as seen, girls on the left and boys on the right.
What do you think of the boy on the girls side?

He looks like a lover-boy, to me, judging from his healthy appearance and his deliberate leaning toward the girl he probably fancies, for the moment, and doesn't care that she's leaning away from him decidedly. He'd likely have moved on quickly to his next intended conquest, shortly after the photo-shoot.

So the monument is covered with farm products.
I think that was often done in that era and probably at some fairs today.
It goes right along with the cow made from butter.

Think that's the wife and kids of JD Naftzinger. Would not have been uncommon to have a home serve as a funeral home and up until rather recently that was the case up around my place in PA. Also, Naftzinger apparently made furniture....
