My first reaction is that it probably has a usefulness as a prototype for something in real-life scale, as a system of transportation, or in manufacturing?

I suppose you could put it in a doll house, or use it on your layout as a garden railway. I couldn't see the engine well enough, but it looked like a steamer without a tender. That, I have a problem with. Of course, since it's a maglev, why would you need a steam locomotive?

I agree; it stinks. Put it in the ol' pitching machine, and impact it against a cinderblock wall at 100 mph.
