You are a clever mind. You inspired conjecture - she should have been carrying a hot cup of McD's coffee and had that spill on her too (!)

She can also sue Newton for failing to warn her about gravity and that would rope in Cambridge U. and etc.

Probably, the hotbabe who fell into a sidewalk's open service-doors would have to be told what she could expect from RR trax and what they would portend.

Indeed; it would set a very dangerous precedent otherwise.

Cool sign Healy.
You caused me to look for one to buy. Looking brings up questions.
Did they come in several colors or are these reproductions?

What's with the bell, genuine or custom add on?

Did I just drift my own thread?

Wayne, I've seen them in orange and red, but not black, olive or yellow. Doesn't mean they don't exist, just haven't seen them. Catalogs generally show them in red or orange.

The one with the bell is a different model, looks alot bigger. Lionel had a similar item, I think it was the 69 Ringing Bell signal. Then they had an O (O68) and Standard gauge (68) warning sign:

Pretty cool, but they never kept the trespassers off the right-of-way on my layout. That said, didn't intend to throw the thread "off the rails".

Carry on...

Healey,
I don't see how you have thrown the thread off.
It's about being aware of trains and so are those pieces.

I agree with Roger, Healey. Plus I am fascinated with your RR Crossing warning signs. Thank you for posting the images.

Does that sign still exist in your area?

These things were real killers as they were impossible to hear coming unless the horn was sounded. At 110 mph you heard nothing until it started to pass you!

Hopefully the models will be more reliable than the prototype.
