There are a lot of photos online of PCC's painted for Pacific Electric, but many are of repainted PCC's. The original P.E. PCC's were double-ended, and were M.U.-able. Probably the best spotting detail is the absence of truck cutouts on the lower skirt. The skirt area which is usually cut out is painted instead. Here are some real Pacific Electric PCC's:

I have a brass import of one; as yet un-painted, un-powered and resting on dummy PCC trucks.

I like brass models, and I'm teaching myself how to make them. I imagine your PCC was expensive.

$165.00 plus $19.95 shipping. Power trucks would add about $150.00 (inc ship) but I already have some very nice Wagner's for it. I was quoted $400.00 for a paint job, I almost laughed in his face. This is a rather simple paint scheme that I just might try myself and worry about the decal application later.

This shows the P.E. PCC's as double-ended:

Pretty good buy. Going to do the interior?

No, probably not. But the way I procrastinate, the car will be lucky if it comes out of the box again in the next decade. Note that I do have a nice set of Wagner trucks waiting for it; if and when it happens.

Been seeing a fair number of trucks for PCC cars about.....but since I have no use for them, I guess I will keep seeing them as few if any actually sell.

Thanks, Rufus. Does anyone make an O gauge model of the McKeen motor cars?

Yes, it is. And there's more postcards of the L.A.& S.D.B.Rwy McKeen cars.
