Seen in Print
Re: Seen in Print
Why would anyone put someone else's health at risk, like that?
Torturers, White Racists, Gay Bashers, Rich Psychopaths.
Re: Seen in Print
He is probably not much different than the ones that do mass shootings.

You mean like this mother who put her 2 young sons in an over and turned it on.
Mother charged in children's death placed them in oven, police say

Somehow, I am not surprised by that face.

She'll probably be declared mentally incompetent and get away with it, when she ought to be dragged behind a car until there's nothing left. She deserves death. Anyone capable of a crime like that just needs to go away permanently and I'm tired of paying for their sorry *sses while they sit in jail.

Re: Seen in Print
True dat.
Re: Seen in Print
Maybe we have become too forgiving. Eye for an eye was the way at one time.
I really don't like what I am saying. Some laws in some countries that cut off the
hands of those that steal may change what happens. Do I really believe that?
Probably not. But in this country we send people to jail for long periods of time
for stealing money or using or selling drugs.
However others that kill people get little or no punishment because they were/are
mentally incompetent. The old prisons with no AC, TV, gym equipment, conjugal
visits might have been the right way.

+1 Why do prisoners have any rights?

Re: Seen in Print
There are just a few things that upset me emotionally and can make me cry.
My mother did not bring tears to me because she had had many physical problems and was probably better off.
One of my ex students had a husband of 20 years old that was killed in Iraq. I cried for his funeral.
If you don't understand the above maybe someday you will.
Events as mentioned above can really tear me apart just because these things should not happen to young people.
The other events that really affect me are events of beauty. Jackie Evancho, a young American singer, causes me to cry almost every time I hear her.
She is not the only one, just the latest. When I was 15 and playing with the Wheeling, WV, Symphony Orchestra, Yehudi Menuhin was our first really big name soloist and he was not yet 25. He affected me the same way.
The above events of the killing of children and the beauty of music are mentioned together because they do show I have emotion.
Most men, it seems to me, were taught to hide their emotions of any kind. Things are different today but it is still difficult for some to show emotions.

Its like the people have become immune to all the violence and killings as they would say What else is new.
And yet the people seem to love violence and blood and guts in the movies and media. Lots of money to be made promoting it.
