Favorite Movies
Re: Favorite Movies
I have way too many favorites and have listed way too many. I can't remember what I did list. Groundhog Day should be on my list.

Several classmates from high school lost their lives in Vietnam. Arrogant politicians thinking they can change the world.
The beginning of Saving Private Ryan is another one of the horrors of war. What a waste of human life. Too bad we didn't have the atom bomb at that time we could have dropped on Berlin.

Remember "Caveman"?
The Japanese guy was the only one that spoke English, I think.
However all were understandable.

Re: Favorite Movies
The first time my wife and I ever took particular note of Leonardo De Caprio in a movie was his being Arnie Grape in What's Eating Gilbert Grape(circa 1993. We were amazed that an "intellectually challenged" boy had been cast to play such a role in such a movie. His acting was that believable.
When we saw him being interviewed, subsequently, and later saw him in This Boy's Life, we were, indeed, amazed that his acting, as Arnie, was so perfect that we thought he had not been acting.

I need an occasional kick in the head, and this provided it.

Seems to have plenty of cause to earn Adorable Points, and rightly so. I'd watch it, for sure.
P.S. Watch, SOMEBODY will complain, probably about having the children say even that much.
Re: Favorite Movies
I have seen Peyton Place and Return to Peyton Place a couple of times on TV. It's pretty good. Considering the book was controversial back then it's mild stuff now.

Re: Favorite Movies
I had the privilege , tonight, of seeing, once again, the movie, "The Last of the Mohicans." Does a movie get more dignified, beautiful, and poignant than that? The final scene stands testimony to the entire film, with the last words spoken and the last panorama seen. That's four times I have seen it. Wonderful.
