Nope! Got to hire people to watch the camera screens!

That will probably need a new form of schooling so education will need to be revised.

Not really. Hiring older than 30 year old and older folks that remember how to watch a TV screen vs. a smart phone.....
As the literacy rate declines, you’ll ask yourself why the quality of life continues to deteriorate in ways large and small, and in almost every instance the answer will be: because people stopped reading.

She would scan 2 pants at a time. She probably came back the next day and returned all the pants she paid for. Free money and free pants. When i mentioned this to a clerk standing there she could have cared less.

I would have thought that cashierless would also be complemented by being totally cashless - totally electronic transactions w/o any cash available.

That was my understanding from the News piece on CBS (or was it NBC? ABC?)

Most businesses will not accept $100's anymore as well so having them to take seems odd.

I've never had any problem with a business down here in the south accepting a hundred dollar bill.
Of course many consider us to be a little backward.

Lots of places round here won't take them - used to be the favorite to counterfeit.

I had heard that a way to detect whether a $100 bill was counterfeit was to hold it up to a strong light to see if the face of Lincoln were, in fact, the original face on the bill.

The usual method customers would use to pay me at my booth at the TCA Meets @ York, PA, was in $100 bills. Mr. Kughn was particularly fond of giving me whole stacks still wrapped with the little paper bands banks use. As a result, I still often use $100 bills to pay for purchases, and often tell clerks to look for the face of Lincoln as a way to double-check, right in front of me. I usually have 5-7 of the bills in my wallet, for unexpected expenses, and because I never know what seminarian or priest I may come in contact with who can use a little boost.

They are more worried that their cashier will give a 100 out instead of a $1.00: for change

That ceases to be an issue in a cashierless // cashless operation.

You could keep cashiers. Put a money slot on the checkout. Money goes in change comes out. That should cutdown a lot of shortages, thefts and counterfeits.

The newer 100 bills have a embedded blue strip and they also have a holo image of Franklin off to the right hand side, You can see it if you hold the bill up to the light.....

Why is there a portrait of Jack Benny on the $100 bill?

Stand on a street corner in Trenton. Hold a $100 bill up to the sun. Count to 3. If you still have in your hands at 3. Then it's counterfeit.
