Tramp characterizes these as drawings, but they look like photos. I can see that branches and twigs may be drawn in to create patterns, but what's the story with the rest of the composition?

Tramp is hugely talented at making realistic drawings. HIs works during the past few years are just jaw-dropping to look at.

Thanks, Wayne. "Graphite grisaille layered with colored pencil and varnish" is the description of the technique. In other words, a pencil drawing with color added by way of colored pencils.
