Wayne, did the brain conditioning concept work in reproduction? If you go to my Behance site or A/M/Y you can see a better and clearer image.

Playing with the images by making them mirror images is fascinating. It reveals the incredible patience you have to be able to draw the same image a second time and the skill you possess to get a perfect match to the first image. And then you begin to realize... everything is different. The difference is something when viewing the originals you only get a few glimpses of. Take the light hanging (or trying to escape upwards in inversion) for example. In this case, I did not mirror them, I placed them side by side. How many differences between the two can you find? I estimate 570,034 differences. (yeah, I know what you are saying, "RIVET COUNTER!")

And what happens to the mind of the viewer when they find out these photo quality images were done with colored pencils. My first reaction when you described your technique for the Time Diptychs was extreme incredibly.

As for the brain being conditioned to seeing a floor, sure it works in reproduction. Seeing the second ceiling draws instant attention to the images.

Thank you for the sources of better images. The two lamps above are from the Behance site.

That's an important debut for you, isn't it. Congratulations! After all, that is NEW YORK City!
Murph

Not exactly a debut Murph. The artist has had more than 28 exhibits that I know of since 1980.

The first time I read about him was in an article in either Time or Newsweek some time in the 1990's. The reviewer was fascinated by a "Fire and Ice" painting by the artist.

The election is over, but the corruption and investigations go on forever.

Cacti?

Weeds, wildflowers and a tree.

I have a friend who is a neat freak. Found this weed in her yard when I moved my truck to a far corner of her property so she could back a trailer load of concrete bags up to a construction site. Had to text her with this image after I got home (no way I could do it within throwing distance of an 80# bag of concrete.)

A tiny weed, flower heads 3/8 inch across.
