Happy New Year and good health to all :!: :!:

Wayne,

I think that is beautiful but one thing is missing-a train passing through.

With a pair of white sweat pants, it works great for movie night.

Hey Mitch Man ...............remember the ole' Autocar here is a picture of one plowin' snow on Nantmeal Rd. near Rt. 100 Chester Co., Pa. I'm thinkin' it's around the Exton Pa area. Rt. 100 croses over U S 30 in Exton. Ya know the A-car was made down the road from Rt. 100 in Exton. I hauled a lot of steel in there.

I remember the AutoCar well, Hev. Freeport Brick Co. had two of their own for local deliveries to J & L and USSteel in Pittsburgh. I never drove one, but they were fairly similar to the White, and I have thousands of miles in Whites. When we'd run Freeport Brick to Fairless Hills, we always ran out 30 off of 283, then hit 202 back up to pike, and I remember always passin' the White Plant that was close to 202. It's probably gone now. Volvo bought out White, then some other company bought them again, but up in Canada, the Western Star is still very popular. They're built out west in either Alberta or BC.

Back in the old days my parents had a 24 hour truckstop restaurant in Shrewsbury, Pa on old rte 111. Saw a lot of Autocars and one in particular was from Edgcomb Steel Co. It was made f stainless steel. here is a picture of an old Autocar in stainless.
