Re: A few CVRR pictures and some other related pictures....
True, Rufus. Good advice. As a test-run, I put myself out on the rear-deck again, on the chaise, just a few hours ago, and it was so heavy-hot, I had to go back indoors after about 15 min. So, the idea of traipsing around Upstate forests for a couple hours seemed not so delightful a prospect, for now. I had actually considered making the visit tomorrow.
As far as bear are concerned,
I don't know what tickles their bippies, including how they feel about doughty but doughy old men wandering around their woods, but I might still be able to relax in them-thar-woods, even with the prospect of their paying me a li'l visit. Of course, I'd have my useless
"defense kit" with me, so at least, Wayne's mocking non-approval notwithstanding (of course, he's right)
, I'd be able to say "Hi"
with some gusto. Eh? Huh?
As far as bear are concerned,

Given the heat and health at our ages, keeping inside in the cool under no stress for the next 3-4 days is my prescription.

Well, we've deliberately kept the number of cows we own to a very bare minimum, to help compensate.

Murph, you've kept the number of cows to a very bare minimum? I have seen your back yard you know. You call this, "A very bare minimum" number of cows? Click on your house (circled in red to make it easy to find) to see what I saw.

Yes, but we've had those cows disassembled, packaged, and stored in freezers; thus, no further flatulence emissions.
You're a fun guy. Have I told you that of late?
P.S. And speaking of back (and side) yards, it would be great if you'd navigate those clever outdoor stairs of yours up onto the roof and take some photos of your surrounding environment, including your yard. Just curious. I know absolutely nobody who lives in arid Arizona, so it would be a real treat to see. Plus, if you were feeling particularly philanthropic toward the model train community, think of all the authentic, detailed inspiration you'd be providing for us modelers. Eh? Huh? Pleeeeeeeeze.
P.P.S. Those are my dance moves that the herd apparently picked-up from my deft moves around the yard.
Of course, you are already well aware of my deft moves since you were able to capture and post pics of me confidently perched atop 3rd-world RR station roofs, huh.

It is dark here now. Here is a view of traffic on Ajo Way:

I'll see what I can do from the roof and post images in the Hobo Jungle.

The Corpse Flower , Titan-arum, about to bloom on Monday (first time in decades) in the Botanical Gardens in NY, at least 6ft tall, in my observation, does anybody really think that plant is from this planet originally?

It is probably just as original to this planet as we are ourselves..........
Now make sure you get pictures!
