Bringing a car into the USA is a little different then building one from a kit. Think of it this way. You can buy pieces to repair a gun. You can have a person make a few pieces for that gun. All the sudden you have a working gun. No papers. no background check. Nobody has knowledge of you owning that gun You made it from parts. It works like it should. Try and register it. You'll probably go to jail.
Same thing with a car. You can buy aftermarket repair parts. Have somebody build a few parts. Get some used original parts and build a car. It runs like it should. Try and register it. Somebody will say " where did you did this car?"

I do know and understand the difference. Both still both have to meet DOT to get registered.

Back to the original question. In Penna. a reproduction can not be registered as an antique or historic. PA. has a street rod registration. You can register a car as a street repop or real as long as it is 1948 or older. A repop must be in the style of a 1948 or older. Then you don't need fenders,or a hood. you need glazed safety glass. You need dot brakes and tires. Everything needs a vin tag. I don't know where you get the vin tag. that may come back down to a license manufacturer. If it were me. would just slap an orange farm triangle and not go far Good thin it's raining out. i spent to much time on this

I put this 23 T-Bucket together in the 60s The only part that was original was the front axle assembly that was from a 30 model A so the vehicle was registered as a 30 model A. Just under 1500 LBS to meet the California law for no fenders

64 olds 394 engine, 4 speed hydromatic and a 9in ford rear end. After we adopted the 1st child we decided to sell it. Had $1800 it it sold it for $2200. I was a big fan of the show 77 sunset strip and the Kookie T so I always wanted one.

I'm a sucker for classic VW vehicle models, including customs. Likewise with Hot Wheels, who have been making them from the git-go in 1968. I picked up one of these Hot Wheels Track Stars Custom Volkswagen Haulers at Walmart recently, for $3.98.



Both tractor and trailer have sunroofs with simulated tarpaulin covers. Both chassis are die-cast, including the mid-mounted engines, bumpers and VW front emblem.

I missed you T bucket a week ago, really nice, thats the way their suppose to look. It sure would be worth a lot more now. We lived in Sunland when we 1st moved to Calif. and Norm Grabowski would park his T bucket by the Jr. Hi I went to sometimes. His car was the start of my lifetime interest in hot rods and cars.

A friend of mine had a hopped up 394 Olds in a 54 Olds went 101 at San Fernando drags, not bad back then.

That was fast for a 1954 OLds as they weren't lightweights. Had to be a thrill back in the day. Those numbers weren't reached by stock OEM cars until the mid to late 60's in muscle cars. Cracking the century mark was a big deal in a OEM car and few could do it without slicks and tweaking.

As a ten-year-old kid I ate this stuff up...the Ford GT40s, the Ferrari 330s, and then later the Porsche 917s. Me and The Old Man glued to the TV.

Great trailer, if nothing else. Why wasn't this made, before? When it comes to cars, I can't remember anything since Tucker: The Man and his Dream (1988).
