Single truck Birney converted to a general work car --- might actually have a use for a lousy Birney body as raw materials for a car like this - have a Q-car under floor drive for one in my shop..........somewhere,

Birney??? With a deck roof?? And what looks like a Peckham or Brill truck? That PRT car has to be at least twenty-plus years older than a Birney.

Doubtless a mere slip of the fingers or mind. Rufus doesn't make that sort of mistake.

To quote my father and Marine Sgt., "I once thought I made a mistake, but I was wrong."

The Birney would be the cheap option to make a representative model - get the hacksaw out and go to it!

I would use one of the MTH bump-n-go trolleys:

The body looks close enough to make a great work car project start.

Yes, probably a better starting point - what's the drive in those look like? Do I have to wear gloves since it's an MTH product?

Don't want to hi jack your thread Marty, I look at it all the time and like it, I have lots of photos of trams mostly modern one's, they don't have the character of the oldies but here is an unusual photo taken a couple of years ago in Melbourne.

Could you make your pictures 1000 pixels or less in width?
