CG&W #30 at Penmar...... Interesting that the destination board lists Hagerstown yet this car could not actually go there - had to transfer over to the H&F in Shady Grove.

Like the 27Gs; this is the best shot of them that I have seen in a long while.

I'm not sure I ever knew that trolleys could go up a hill like that, though in my youth I've ridden trolleys up a hill like it between Homestead and West Mifflin, PA, back in the 50's. I suppose the motorman would just pour on the juice. I wonder if wet weather caused slipping of the wheels.

Such a grand, proud house. I'll bet some family was really happy there.

I wonder why-in-the-world would that horse be up there! Maybe, for the ride back downhill after pulling that vehicle up the hill? But that would have to be one smart, calm, charming horse to tolerate such a journey, right?

Yeah, it does look clever. The hot-babes aboard seem oblivious to the horse's presence up there; perhaps, they are accustomed to such shenanigans, or maybe the horse isn't given to gas and is exceptionally well trolley-trained (!)

Yes, I can see the stress, now that you point it out. Maybe that is why the horse is so comfy up there, being in kindred company. Have you ever had accidental occasion to pass behind a horse just as it was...oohhhh, nevermind....

The horse is upwind - it's the smart one,

No. Horses and I keep a good and healthy distance apart - part of mutual disagreement at the genetic level.

Me too, but I did come to understand that when we called somebody a "horse'sass," we delivered a certain clear image and meant business with the remark. Or was that "horse's patoot" ? :?
