Move back to Ohio and run for Gov.

Can he speak without using, "Ya know"? It's a marker for me.

Could it get more low-class than Trump's saying that so loudly? Did he think everybody in the entire world wasn't already aware of such a fact?

Crude . Vulgar . Ill-mannered. Boor. He's an embarrassment .

I disagree completely! There was a time when the French actually did help us. It was in the Revolutionary War, but we've bailed their asses out twice since then against the same enemy. How many French soldiers stormed the beaches of Normandy on D-Day? None! And as for the Germans, after WWII's Communist division of Germany, right through Berlin, who was it that came to their aid? Have you heard of the Berlin Airlift. Christ! We even flew coal into West Berlin to salvage the population.

I say Trump was exactly right. Never let them forget who buttered their friggin' bread for them. And who the f#*k is Macron to rag on the President because of his Nationalist statement? Anybody who heard Trump say it knew immediately that America First was what he meant, except for the media, who saw and took the opportunity to turn the President into a "White Nazi". When all these World leaders complain or bitch about American Foreign Policy, it just tells the story that they are Globalists, and all countries should be on equal footing. They don't want America to excel and go back to being the leader of the world.
If you agree with the Progressives, it's freedom of speech. If you disagree, it's hate speech. There are no alternatives.

That's an interesting perspective, Mitch. I am taking it seriously and will think about it further. I appreciate your feedback on this.

The facts of the USA helping other countries have been pretty well know for ages. What I was objecting to was the public bragging about it, which I thought was pretty low-class, or at least in bad taste.

Indeed. The very image and stereotype of the ugly American in person.

Good point. But at least he wasn't wearing Bermuda-shorts and a floral-print short. Yet.

Even before Trump was elected the Europeans and their media had a lot of nasty things to say about him. They have also been trashing our country for a long time while they have their hands out wanting money. They are just getting some of their own trash talk thrown back at them and they can't handle it. The same thing for our liberal media.

Two countries that lost WW2. Germany and Japan were rebuilt by the U.S. to become economic power houses in the world. Economically Germany controls Europe.

Well, they aren't wearing rose colored glasses and know what he is since they've been dealing with him in business for a long time. They have a grasp of reality.

I'm not so sure that they do anymore. That time may have come and gone. They may lead, but I'm not so sure how much is real, facade, or wishful thinking. Japan is very quiet, too, but then they play the long game while we play the 15 second game.

Silly thing is while all this tertiary crap grabs attention, Syria, Crimea, Korea, Iran, Afghanistan, and other actual serious problems that include China and Russia are getting ignored.

And the reality is that he was always a business person and not a politician. He doesn't sugar coat what he says. They liked him when he was spending money in their countries. Now that he is telling them they need to spend more of their own money to protect themselves from the big bad bear they are pissed. They want that money to spend on their socialist programs.

I know some rich and very polished businessmen and businesswomen. Couldn't Trump have picked up some polish along the way?

I know of almost all of them; did I actually experience all of those - no. Some only when I lived with my grandparents...... couple I just do not recognize at all.

The milk usually came with the cream on top. If it stayed out on the stoop to long in cold weather it would freeze and pop the top.
I remember and experienced all of those things.
