No, no, no. I didn't say I'm a snail, I said I'm slow. Oh yes there is a difference [but not much].

Actually Murph, you are half correct, it is a warning of slow pedestrians. Drivers have to slow down to a stop. If you look at the aerial image you can see the layout. Patients are sent from the hospital to the surgery center and back, or they are just going back and forth to their automobiles. It doesn't look like far, but if you have a broken leg, congestive heart failure, or some other ailment that slows you down, it takes a long time to make the trip.
Sort of like this:=> https://youtu.be/G0PekTUmBdY

I was there on Tuesday to pick up my brother who went there in an ambulance on Saturday (congestive heart failure.)

In most hospitals in Tucson, when you are released, they wheel you out in a wheel chair--whether you can make it on you own power or not. At Northwest Hospital I asked my brother if they were going to wheel him out. He didn't know, so rang the nurse from his hospital bed. She asked, "Do you need one?" He decided to walk to the entrance while I went across the wash to bring the truck over to the entrance. I beat him to the entrance with the truck. He told me he had to stop several times on the way to the entrance to catch his breath.

Good thing he did not have to walk to the surgery center, it is a lot farther than hospital entrance.
