Molinillo de café muy grande.

The more I look, the more I see. The White Tower Hamburger restaurant has a floor drain.
Or, maybe, it is a heating vent, as seen on the other side of the counter.

Sharp photos, Tramp. :D

And the patched hole in the floor where a counter stool was removed to accommodate the coffee mill. Excellent detailing.

Wayne, yes, it is a heating vent. Hops lives under the diner and has a wood stove. There are four in total. YES! I love that crazy coffee mill. Hops bought it drunk and everyone laughed at him, but he refused to admit his mistake. Everyone stopped laughing, however, once they tasted his coffee! He stands on a box to fill it.

Knew about Bill dying. Does anyone ever donate money to keep MTJ running? Any idea how I could do that?

Murph, my art career has been suddenly bizarrely successful. Seems odd after 45 years of rejection. It is also odd to the wealthy after a life of near poverty.

Been weathering plastic cars. These only take a few hours total to weather.

A puzzle for Wayne or whomever.

Needs the photo and I've used up the bandwidth. Coming when the bandwidth returns.

Beautifully authentic. And not only does everything look realistic, but any hint of plastic as having been present is long-gone; not just metal but aged, worn metal is present everywhere that it should be. You have a lot to be proud of there..

Your ability to connect and communicate with others is exemplified by the caboose steps. Somehow, we have all seen steps like that get worn, and somehow knowing and remembering such a small detail as where the treads of the steps would get a bit shiny, esp. toward their centers, from shoes, and the vertical parts of the steps having gotten dirtier and more buffeted ("kick-plates") .
See. It took me longer to try to describe all that in words and still do a lousy job of it, but you were able to communicate the varied appearance of the caboose steps thru our taking just one moment's look.

That was a refreshing treat, Tramp.

I just use a bit of graphite powder on my damp finger. Takes less than a minute to do the whole car.

I do the truck frames, edges of the roof, etc. On the MTH passenger car, I did all the rivets to give it a non-plastic feel. Try it!

WOW! WOW! Are you going to get cars for it? Can I see some close-up shots?

I know your great fear of smoke fluid. I tell you what, now that I have p. cancer, my whistle has basically stopped smoking. Better than when it smoked brown though!
