Hobo Jungle
Re: Hobo Jungle
I like lots of different music, but for just feel good happy sound, 50's and very early 60's is hard to beat. Recently discovered Pandora (I know I'm years behind the power curve) and they recently added the "Platters" station to their list. It's all the great soul music (before it had a name), R&B and light R&R from that time period. Platters, Sam Cooke, Roy Orbison, Penguins, Drifters, Buddy Holly, Nat King Cole, Louis Armstrong, Fats Domino, and dozens of others...... Great music for working around the house and just up-lifting for me.

No idea where 3 members have been, but Maynard James has been busy with his other 2 bands and his vineyards in Arizona

My son seems to think it's decent wine, but overpriced.....

Nice Rufus, nice!
The opera was secondary to the monumental task of moving that ship over the mountain and negotiating rough water. People literally died to accomplish the task. Even Klaus Kinski came close to dying when the extras offered to kill him to stop his complaining. Director, Werner Herzog, told them, "No, I need him to finish the movie, then you can kill him."

Pretty sure that Kinski had a heart attack as well during the filming. And, it is also a pretty good movie,

I have navigated on the Erie Canal. A friend of mine offered me the chance to take a short excursion on the canal.

Hey, hobos! Come on over and have a cup of coffee at the diner in Penobscot Falls. Maybe we can find some liquor later?

Is this the longest continuous thread in Internet history? Bet it is. How is everyone? It's snowing here and we have two kinds of pies.
Wayne, how are you?
Murf, still around?
Rufus? You ever retire?
Anyone else from the old days?

Retired and Emeritus with 4+ side jobs that keep me busy.
1 pie & 1 ham, but a good wedge of nice English Stilton and some Bourbon Co. stout for later in the afternoon.

Nasty storm here. Rotisserie turkey with orange and poblano peppers, mashed, signature cranberry, apple apricot pie and pumpkin pie. Excited!
Healey! How are you?
I've been getting rich and famous and ignoring that silliness. Building my ideal model railroad FINALLY.
For news just google "Eric Green Artist."

We've been good. Tramp. Glad to hear you've struck the mother-lode. Maybe enough in the kitty now to pay someone else to do the snow-shovelling?
Been busy as the devil here, couple projects looking to roll off next year, plus the railroad work. Hope you and the family are well...don't be so scarce.
Oops, turkey just rolled out of the oven:

Hope all of the hobos have a great Thanksgiving.
