Mitch, absolutely right, my mistake. It's a bi-pod.

The gun is nothing fancy- a New England Firearms 17 cal. single shot. Bought it from an acquaintance at work. We use the same type bullet he gave me at the time of sale, Hornaday 17 HMR, a bullet that has a red plastic tip. I wouldn't think it would be of much use at long distances, but serves well at 80-100 yards. And of course, not much 'kick' to speak of.

Nice looking car, when you 1st described it I had a much poorer condition one in mind. A guy a couple of blocks from me just got one but it dosen't look like he drives it.
I have a 95 del Sol I just love, its the nicest driving car I have ever driven. It had the rare DOHC VTEC engine with a 8,200 redline. I don't rev it that high but I do get up there ocassionally.
I also have a 88 CRX Si and a 87 Prelude Si, thats all I have , I rotate driving them. All are 5 speed.

I seem to remember many many years ago reading about how the movie and the aircraft were made and mention made of the model being made purposely with the island in the "American" side for continuity because of the use of Yorktown for the takeoff scenes.

The Loach (UH6) brings back fond memories, but it is rather sobering to see all that stuffed and mounted gear that I actually knew in earnest use.

Prolific breeders, aren't they?

Where we used to live, on the Freeport Hill, there was a specific telephone pole about 150 yds. from the house where a groundhog had made his home next to it. My dad showed me the hog when I was about 5 years old. I came down the hill today and looked up, and sure enough, there was one standing up next to the pole. Seems there's been a hog right there for 60 years now. You don't ever really eliminate them, but keep on pluggin', Pete. Hornady needs your business, and even a buzzard has to eat.
