Andre, what is the message of Avatar? I don't think Maine has any 3d theaters. Are they specially designed for 3d or is it just the glasses.

Rich, the arrows have a very unusual story, but I'm not up to typing the whole thing out. At least not yet. Most people didn't notice the arrows in the photo.

I was one who sure did miss the arrows. When I went back and looked they stood right out. :?:

But would like to here the story. :)

Tramp, is not just the glasses, is the movie itself. But a normal theater will be fine if you are looking for an amazing story.
The message is very spiritual and focused in something that we lost, but still inside of us.

Andre.

I figured you'd pick up on it!

Since I didn't have a hobo-mug type tin-cup, it occurred to me that this would qualify. Of course, it's what's inside and with whom who you hoist it that really counts.

Best to all!

From my point of view, is the main message in the movie.
I will not tell you now because somebody will want to see the movie first.

Please, do not say anything else, Andre, about that movie, yet  . In fact, if you did, above this posting, in response to Tramp's inquiry, I am going to roll past both your postings from now onward until I get to see the movie. I don't even like to see how'd-they-do-that pre-release explanations on TV before I see any movie.) :?

what is the message of Avatar?

From the movie trailers I've seen, it's the same old liberal Hollywood spin... The mean ugly Americans invade the poor helpless alien planet. I hope I'm wrong in my assumption, but I'll bet I'm not. My kid has been asking me to take him to see the movie but I don't wish to subject him to any more trashing of America then this head of the govt is already giving us.

Jon,

From what I have heard I think you are right. However I want to see it because I have heard that the depiction of the other world is so good.I have been a sci-fi fan since 1945.I think there are many more good s-f books than movies.

Jon, the interpretations are few... some topics are the same, the other are not....
some are political, some are spiritual...bottom line will depend of your filters....or better say paradigms.
agree with you about they show the US Army instead something fictional.

I like the movies where girl meets boy, boy's not interested,,,,girl shows boy her 38"C's" boy changes his mind until he meets her mother,,,then decides a case of whiskey is a better thing to keep around, tell's her to "hit the bricks babe",,, then finds a "68" Shelby mustang in a field all rough and needs some love.
so he takes it to his WELL decked out garage and pours a tall drink of rye,,and get's busy restoring the car,,,,, UNINTERRUPTED!!!!!!!",,,,,the end.......
