Pete, I read an odd statistic years ago that stayed in my mind. It's that quite a percentage of arson-lit fires are set by volunteer fireman. There were a number of reasons given. One guy just wanted the drunken party after the fire. Very sick shite.

Well, it's official. 18 dealerships in the Pittsburgh area will be gone. Chrysler will not buy back any of the cars sitting on the lots, Chrysler will not buy back any parts or any special tools that they mandated dealerships to have, but Chrysler will honor warranty repairs on any qualified Chrysler built vehicle, and Chrysler will assist dealerships in finding other dealerships to take their inventory off their hands. Our dealership is not on the list; we're a survivor of the axe.

Now, I would guess most of those dealerships will be filing for bankruptcy too. Dealers don't own the cars on the lots, banks do. The dealers pay the banks interest on a "floor plan" of vehicles. Say like ya got $2 million dollars worth of inventory on the lot, and you're paying the bank $50 grand each month in interest on all the cars until they're sold. Now all ya gotta have is the banks sayin' we don't want to be in the car business anymore, and they call in the loans. The dealerships default, screwin' the bank, then the bank fails, then the government uses my money to bail out the bank, and then the government owns the banks, which is pretty much what they wanted all along.

Pete,

Thanks for the message and the great photos of Leah and her beautiful pony. I was a little tipsy with my email response and not quite sure if I made any sense at all. You should know I consider you one of my rare good friends so I hope you get my sense of humor.

Hey brother bos....hope you're all feeling warm and relatively safe. Cheers!

Hope you can re-create it. I've always thoroughly enjoyed your sense of humor. 8)

Seems that one of our beloved Jungle divas made the rounds last night. Reports are still coming in from multiple venues. In a one woman, tour de force effort, she made our wheelbarrow nights at Gomer's look like a cub scout meeting. Gotta love JB.

If your planning to go to Gomers, bring a few extra dollars.
Who couldn't have seen this coming thanks to Obama and the God Damn Mother ****** Democrats:
WASHINGTON — Joe Six-Pack may have to hand over nearly $2 more for a case of beer to help provide health insurance for all.

Details of the proposed beer tax are described in a Senate Finance Committee document distributed to lawmakers before a closed-door meeting Wednesday. Senators are focusing on how to pay for expanding health insurance for an estimated 50 million uninsured Americans, a cost that could range to some $1.5 trillion over 10 years.
Under the proposal lawmakers are considering, beer taxes would be increased by 48 cents a six-pack, from the current 33 cents. Beer is still the favorite choice of Americans who drink alcohol.

Wine taxes would rise by 49 cents per bottle, from the current 21 cents.

And the tax on hard liquor would increase by 40 cents per fifth, from the current $2.14.

Percentage-wise, wine drinkers would take the biggest hit, a 233 percent tax increase per bottle.

Hard liquor would see the smallest proportional increase, 19 percent per fifth.

The beer tax would rise by 145 percent per six-pack.

Running that red block Charlie.

The fastest way to curb the use of any product, (and I do mean any), is to put or raise the tax on it. So now people buy less alcohol, thereby decreasing the amount of money that the Libs thought they were going to rake in, so they do what "they" think is right, and raise it even higher to make up for the losses, creating an endless spiral of idiocy. Just apply the first 2 rules of Liberalism and the questions get answered.

1. Liberalism always generates the exact opposite of its stated intent.

2. Liberals never believe that what they are doing is wrong; they only believe they haven't
been allowed to do enough of it to make the difference.

They'll be screamin' that we're not drinkin' enough to help them out! Can't wait for the tax on water.

Nice catchy theory, and amusing, but it doesn't work out that way in practice.

Think an alcoholic is going to drink any less?
Cigarette taxes have gone way up too. Think people smoke any less?
Hell no. They quit spending money on clothes, food, bills, hygiene products, dentists, medications, you name it, while they're trashing their marriages, their kids, and their lives.

I'm not saying it's right, and I'm not saying it'll work. I'm not that smart.
And it's too bad you guys wind-up caught up in the extra cost. You both work hard, and don't deserve it.
But I hope you guys will be here to give it equal time when a bunch of republicans vote for it too.

Have you ever had one of those forum postingd that you decided to count to 1000 before clicking the Submit button? I just did. And decided I really didn't want to post what I thought on a forum.
