Re: Soundtraxx Blunami Decoder (new to me)
Totally ignorant on this subject. I do have an MTH Hudson with chuff, whistle, bell, and brake squeal - all quite realistic. But I cannot access it because the electronics needs a factory reset. Maybe I should pull the board and send it to Mikey. But I always dreamed of setting my giant Cab Forward ...

Re: Amazing but sorta useless facts
I have regeared a couple with NWSL - startlingly smooth. And you can have boilers without C-sections if you want.

He did, but it was scenery, not locomotives. Erik does superb scenery.

Re: Thundering iron in the morning light
Do you know how good these would look in a Shutterfly book? I am personally delighted with what they did with my "SP Locomotives."

Now you are really talking my language. I rode behind one of these from Lordsburg to El Paso in 1950.

Re: Alco PA and FA 2023
yeah - lead is bad enough. I always used propane with a pencil tip, but started using Mapp - hotter flame, therefore quicker process. I have the PA screwed back together with proper truck support rails, and have only to fill the holes in the side and mount the fuel tank shrouds before applying my ji...

Re: Alco PA and FA 2023
Turns out that the unit from SW is mostly screwed together with 2-56 steel screws. Nose was well soldered, so I will sort of simulate the clamping, but looks like I will be able to get some photos of this thing as it jumps into the solder jig. The nose was extremely well done, with the top lamp open...

Re: PA’s for Bob Turner
Yes, credit was all I ssk for - well, credit and accurate captions. The Facebook form looks like a DMCA takedown request - that is actually an advance in the law of copyright. The deal is, you demand they remove your art. If they don't, you can sue. No matter what, suing is expensive, and folks know...

Re: PA’s for Bob Turner
Sorry you have to go through that. However, I only use others' images with permission. Been that way long before the DMCA Takedown legislation. I never have to worry about being sued. It is like obeying stop signs at 3 AM. Nobody cares, but it's the law. I got booted from OGR for insisting that folk...

That's the one! Stunning!
And no, it is against the law to re-post others' art without permission.

These are great!
You posted a broadside bumblebee that is truly beautiful - I think on OGR.
With your permission, if I can find it, can I transfer it here?

Re: Denver & Rio Grande Western, my favorite!
Maroon always advises me not to post everything at once - he has been successful at posting his projects on a weekly basis. We really need input like Erik's, as well as that of Sarge and Martin. But I do the same - I stick all of my Lobaugh models in a single thread, without giving anybody much chan...

Re: Denver & Rio Grande Western, my favorite!
I had forgotten that Facebook became Meta. I have an account, but never used it. My experience was one of abject horror at the posts of my fairly conservative brother, and disbelief that folks actually thought a photo of their breakfast was of interest. I understand now - stick around this time. We ...

Re: Denver & Rio Grande Western, my favorite!
I don't know anything about Meta, but they threw me off NK a couple years ago - turns out I do not miss posting there. I have no idea how this forum survives, but it, eBay, and my buddies are now my only real connection to the O Scale community. Whatever it is that drove you back, we are delighted y...
