For the non link follower, I see 100. No clue for photo copyright not listed, no one here made any money off these photos, and I shared them with you all under the Fair Use Act, DMCA. https://www.copyright.gov/fair-use/ I can't figure out what it is, but there's something about those two photos tha...

It's not going to sell for that amount.

They price their brass pieces very high, but then their algorithms gradually drop the prices over time.

My Oct 19, 2024 post: Atlas-O just announced they are producing a 73 ft center beam lumber car. This is the same freight car that MMW has a pilot model of pictured on their website. The newest Atlas catalog says that their car will have "Die-cast construction with etched metal and ABS details&q...

Gorgeous modeling Erik! Ah to be in HO where what, 2-4 manufacturers are chasing you with ready to play models, life is short but getting there is most of the fun. HO became frustrating for me - I'd a buy a new state-of-the art model and then just a few years (or months) later another manufacturer w...

Ron Keiser passed away according to this thread on the NGDF.

I know he was a member of the Denver club, but I seem to remember that he may have also been a manufacturer of (or helped produce?) O scale kits. Am I misremembering?

Prices were outrageous and the owner was a nasty old man The store also had a reputation for prices that suddenly went up when you brought an item to the register! But, if he stayed in business all those years he did something right. I spent a few minutes looking thru the older google streetviews o...

I was looking at the trainz M1 also, maybe if it comes down some more I had my eye on the damaged NYC H10B that had been on their website for a while. I was watching them slowly drop the price -- it was down to $401 when I checked it yesterday or the day before. This morning it showed up on my list...

The M1 from Trainz arrived - exactly as advertised. I don't know how much longer it'll be there, but for now the listing is still on their website, in case anyone wants to see what Bob bought: Max Gray 4-8-2 O Scale PRR M-1 Steam Locomotive And Tender #4204 VG It appears to be the later production,...

A September 4, 2026 article on ourtownny.com: Beloved Hobby Retailer Red Caboose Reaches the End Of the Line - The last holdout of a dozen or so Gotham hobby shops will be gone by the middle of October, as its building on West 45th Street is slated to be torn down soon. I visited it back in 2011 or ...

I would not expect to see those return; just an added level of costs and complications combined with too much disdain from too many modelers regarding the use of rattle cans. HO modelers are getting surprisingly (to me) good results from regular rattle cans. For example, here's a blog post that des...

On a different note I've had to suspend my modeling activities for the past six months to deal with a large basement foundation repair that required disassembly of roughly half of "Trackworld" :( Oh no! I have a box of cork roadbed you can have if you can use it in your rebuilding. I have...
