Re: More Heresy

I agree with you Rich...it is an outstanding model RR. So many modeler don't bother with the scenic aspect of model railroading...but this fellow clearly has nailed it, and built a very believable operating railroad. It is exceptional...thanks for sharing.

Roger...the O Scale Resource Magazine is a free publication and is only available online, not by subscription.

Re: Layouts

Roger my layout was featured in Dan Dawdy's O Scale Resource Magazine in the Nov/Dec 2017.

This link should take you there.

It also happens to be featured on the cover of the current O scale Trains Magazine if your interested.

Re: 1920's Monarch laqthe

I've spent a healthy sum of money and many hours building 80/20 workstations for a prototype dept. group I was responsible for in my last job prior to retirement. Seeing some in use in this thread brought a smile.

Re: Icken-Barker and Icken K4's double heading

I find them very fascinating...with their obvious vintage character and construction. They would make my old friend Henry Keroack smile to excess were he still alive. Nice stuff Carey!

Re: George Kohs posting

Man. Deadsville again. Why would that be a surprise; a Kohs whine about a Kohs whining session over on OGR......about a model that won't be any time in the near future that only a very few can actually afford....if they live long enough to ever see it. Let's just build some models and be done with ...

Re: Paint Shop

Always good to see something you've had a hand in Sarge. Plus the disarray of a workbench in model building mode restores ones make something juices. Hoping the Hale is out of overspray reach.

Unusual model...and your economy of words suggests you know nothing about it I presume. A Strasburg acquisition?

That is a fine example of model building. You have the touch.

Re: Happy Golden Spike Day

This is fascinating information Carey. Makes one think of there own youth and what they were up to. I recall building balsa wood kits of various WW II airplanes. I also ventured into flying one. I recall it being a somewhat generic model, and I had a .049 gas motor on it. Unfortunately there was a l...

Re: Happy Golden Spike Day

Looking carefully at the Paul Egolf kit, I can see several bits of detail which remind me of a PRR D16sb. I suspect the original kit may have been intended as such. I like it a lot. Thanks Carey.
