Did you get two or three of these kits from quite some time ago?

Jay

4 of them actually, and it was quite a while ago if the amount of dust on top of the stack is indication,

Re: Passenger Cars 2026

Thanks, Jim! As you know my modeling interests tend to be decades earlier from most as well as then straying into traction....it's lesser populated territory but with a decreased selection of parts and other bits one needs. At times stuff sells for silly money making it hard to be a responsible adul...

Re: The other Strasburg "prize"

That looks pretty sharp as well. It looks ok but up close it's going to take a lot of work. Got to make a replacement door at the one end, fix broken glue joints and then there's a good bit of repair underneath. No underbody details at all. Maybe leave it as a trailer..... What's the roofing made o...

They are still around.

Good to know - I like to use several of their roofing styles.

Re: Passenger Cars 2026

So, it's been a while since we had any passenger cars..... Grabbed this one at Strasburg to go with the stack of kits (Robico) for these cars that are on the one shelf.....along with 2 boxes of matching parts cars that need to be salvaged. This car bumped that stack up in the queue, :? :? https://ph...

The other Strasburg "prize"

This came home as well last Sat. Scratch and hand lettered, etc. A bit bet up but I must have thought it salvageable.....we'll find out. Not powered and again, large, so 17/64ths maybe.....missing a door......and I have the other truck in hand. https://photos.smugmug.com/Traction/2026-Strasburg-trol...

Re: A little prize from Strasburg

Sweet, a classic “summer” car. They have one similar at the Baltimore Streetcar Museum. I’ll be interested to see if/how you motorized that. I have a single 4-wheel drive that I could put under this car as it's rather short. But I think I'll be on the lookout for a short wheelbase drive pair while ...

A little prize from Strasburg

Picked up this little treasure last Sat at the Strasburg meet. 1 of 3 items that came home with me. Probably exercised too much restraint, Not powered and looks to be on old Pittman trucks. All wood and so scratchbuilt. Some repairs to be done but not in bad shape all around. Not to power it ...

Looks better than just ok! Inkjet or laser printer?

I used Ed Berg's scanned graphics as the basis for this version, found here:

I made all that signage.....it's just Powerpoint and a color printer. Paper is just glued into the clapboard and pushed into the profile with a straight edge.
